Jatara Mainor is a senior at Virginia Commonwealth University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Marketing Insights. She is also completing her Master of Science in Marketing Management through VCU’s Accelerated Master’s Program. Most recently, Jatara completed a Merchandising Internship at Sephora, where she further developed her experience in the beauty and retail industry. Prior to Sephora, she interned with NEXCOM as a Center Core Merchandising & Marketing Intern, where she supported assortment planning, buying, and data analysis across women’s accessories, cosmetics, fragrances, handbags, and jewelry. Passionate about consumer insights and merchandising strategy, she enjoys using data to create compelling product assortments and enhance the customer experience. Jatara hopes to continue deepening her merchandising expertise, building meaningful relationships, and preparing for a career in buying within the beauty and luxury retail industry.
